CVE-2020-1277

There is a security flaw in Windows Installer that could lead to an elevation of privilege. This flaw occurs due to how Windows Installer manages specific operations related to the filesystem. In order for an attacker to exploit this vulnerability, they would need to have unprivileged access on the targeted system. This vulnerability is also known as 'Windows Installer Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability' and should not be confused with CVE-2020-1272, CVE-2020-1302, or CVE-2020-1312.
