CVE-2020-1308

DirectX has a flaw in the way it handles objects stored in memory, resulting in a vulnerability that allows an elevation of privilege. If exploited, an attacker could execute arbitrary code in kernel mode, gaining the ability to install programs, manipulate or delete data, and create new user accounts with complete privileges. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must first log into the targeted system and then use a specifically crafted application to take control of the affected system. This issue has been resolved in the update, which addresses the vulnerability by fixing how DirectX handles objects in memory.
