CVE-2020-1547

A vulnerability is present wherein a Windows Backup Engine fails to appropriately manage memory, thereby creating a risk of elevated privilege. In order to exploit said vulnerability, an attacker must initially gain control of the targeted system. Once accomplished, the attacker can proceed to execute a specifically developed application to gain elevated privileges. To resolve this security flaw, the update focuses on rectifying the manner in which the Windows Backup Engine manages memory.
